How to deal with inventory before Amazon Prime Day?
There are more than one hundred days away from Amazon Prime Day. Many sellers friends are preparing for it. There are still some small partners who are worried. In general, after a year or so, some redundant inventory needs to be cleared up. We know that on February 15th and August 15th each year, Amazon will charge long-term storage fees for products stored in operational distribution centers for more than six months. You will directly see "XX items will be charged on the XX days long-term storage fees" in the seller central. Small partners should clear up the inventoryin a timely manner.
What can we do during this period of time? In other words, what method can quickly handle this batch of inventory?
In fact, dealing with inventory is the same as building a new listing. Why do you say so? In fact, a product is unsalable too long in FBA warehouse, it's most likely due to insufficient listing traffic ( poor ranking leads to poor traffic ) and insufficient number of reviews. In general, insufficient traffic is the main reason. How can you increase the traffic of this link if the traffic is poor?
Share a few tips here:
Tip 1: share a method I often use, find a variation in the store that sells well, and add a child variation to clear inventory under the parent. The parameter of the new listing product needs to be consistent with the unsalable product, so that the price can be reduced to the cost. Please note this requires the unsalable product and another good seller product to be the same, or related, of course not related item you can also try. Once billed, you can use FBA inventory to create Amazon delivery orders, such as Amazon delivery update order number, then fill the order number into the order logistics information.
Tip 2: do bundle sales properly, discount promotions. Find out the products with good sales and review, and do promotion within the station, for example, buy a one-for-one purchase to drive the sales of clean-up products. This operation should note that the product still has to be relevant. Don't make low-level mistakes, sell summer stuff and send products for winter, so it doesn't appeal to customers. You need to let customers feel that something is worth sending.
Tip 3: The current out-station deal is also one of the better methods. If the discount is large enough, the effect should be okay. Of course, it cannot exclude the unpopularity of the product.
In addition, for higher value and larger number items, the seller can first remove all products to their own overseas warehouses, then change labels and re-send to the FBA under the new link, of course, you have to compare the logistics costs with label replacement fee.
Finally for those who really don't have the confidence to clear up, the seller all know " create remove order", the cost for destroying the items is still a little less than the long-term storage fee charged.
