New pattern for Amazon's advertising method ! The QR code of" smile codes" will be added to the packing box
Amazon will add a new "Smile Codes" on the box – Amazon's own version of the QR code. Users can scan the code from the mobile device to enter the product page, or a video (movie trailer, product reviews, etc.) with different content.
What all QR codes have in common is that the center is a classic Amazon smiley symbol that helps promote the brand.
Allegedly, Amazon has tested its new QR code in Europe with flash stores and its own lockers for several weeks and it will promote the QR code on U.S. magazine ads in February.
Amazon has put their own box into advertising many times. In 2015, the "Little Yellow Man" theme box was launched. A few months ago, the red "Greatest Showman" box was also introduced. The latest QR code can turn these packing box into clickable ad links.
Competitors have also noted Amazon's branding promotion capabilities. Wal-mart redesigned its box, and Ebay tried to get sellers to use its own special box.
