If you are FBM currently, the first thing you must do is convert your shipments to FBA. Look at the first screenshot below:
Please note the last column filled by the merchant. So in order to convert to FBA, first check the box in the first column, then pull down the "Actions" tab and select "Change to Logistics by Amazon."
When you do this, you will go to a new page that looks like this:
2. FBA shipping – Step 2
Ok, next to the above step, now just click on the yellow button "convert& send Inventory" you will see the next page.
Since this is your first shipment, please choose "create a new shipping plan". If there is a shipment added to an existing plan, you can choose another button. Click the button, you will see the next one:
Please note that I fill in the quantity. I usually do not send such a small shipment, but to keep this example looks simple.
You can not see the button in this screenshot, but if you scroll down the page, a button appears to indicate Continue. click this, then go here:
Notice which drop-down button the merchant is under. There are two options: Amazon and businessman (seller). Amazon will prepare items for you, but they charge a high price, so I recommend that you prepare for yourself.
3. FBA Shipping – Prepare the product
We have not labeled our products yet (we do this in the next step), but you have to prepare them before you do it.
If your product is in a standard retail box and is not fragile, you can place the label on the box of the existing UPC code on the box.
If your product is fragile or not in the retail box, all we like to do is wrap it in foam, wrap it in a polyethylene bag and seal with a heat sealer.
You can also use a suitable box, but it can get expensive. This is a photo of a project we send regularly.
4. FBA product – Label Products
Okay – now, when you select: prepared by the merchant, scroll down and click Continue, you will be here:
Make sure all the numbers are correct, then press this button: Print the label for this page.
It will download a PDF file to your desktop after doing this(or whatever you have your download settings). It looks like this:
The next step is to print the label and place it on your item. The correct label for this step is Avery 5160, which has 30 labels. (Links to these tags at the end of this report).
Remember, if any of the original bar codes appear on your item, please cover with your label.
(The reason is that your tag is encoded to you, so Amazon knows who pays when a project is for sale). Once you have your item tag, click on the Continue button and you'll be taken to a page that looks like this:
Look carefully at this page. The first thing you have to do is give the goods a name. I like to use the name that describes the shipment, because when the shipment is received, Amazon sends you an email and you know when your inventory is available for sale. Once you have done this, you click continue, and move on to the next step.
FBA shipping – measurement
Alright, you can ship it almost now. Put everything in a box with newsprint or bubble paper as a filler and buffer. (Note: Amazon does not allow styrofoam or shredded paper to be used as a filler. If you have a lot of styrofoam and want to get rid of them, you can put them in plastic bags for filling)
Then weigh and measure your box and fill in the weight and size fields. Then click the "Calculate" button. When you do this, shipping estimates will appear and you need to check the box "I accept shipping fee(Amazon gives you 24 hours to change your mind, invalid goods)" box.
Once you accept the shipping charges, the "Print shipping label" button is displayed. Click this button and it will download the shipping label to your desktop. Print the label on your computer using the Avery number 8465 full-size label
Here is a link to buy your tag on Amazon. Note: You'll see other cheaper branded labels on Amazon, but every time I try to get stuck with my printer, I stick with Avery.
Avery Easy Peel laser printer for white mailing labels, 1 x 2.62 in., 3000 carton labels (5160).
Avery® white full-size labels for inkjet printers with TrueBlock ™ technology, 8-1 / 2 "x 11", 100 (8465).
The last rule to note is that when shipping labels on a box, the box does not pass the label when the box is placed in the warehouse to open the box. The shipping label has two parts, so I like to cut them in half, half in half the boxes.
Once you place the shipping label on the package on the nearest UPS or give it to any UPS driver you see nearby. Now sit and wait for your shipment to reach FBA.
