"Twinkle100" is the Netherlands Top 100 E-commerce website ranking report.
The report recently launched the "Twinkle100," of Belgian version, which lists the 100 largest e-commerce sites in Belgium by e-commerce turnover. It is understood that in Belgium, more than 60% of top 10 e-commerce sites are foreign e-commerce companies.
In the top 100, the percentage is even higher: 72% of e-commerce companies are not from Belgium. The largest e-commerce website in Belgium is Amazon, which reached 288 million euros in Belgium last year. The main cities shopping on Amazon is Wallonia, a region in the southern half of Belgium, but more and more Flemings have started shopping on the platform.
Coolblue, the Dutch integrated e-commerce platform, came in second with a revenue of 242 million euros in Belgium last year. About 28% of Coolblue's total turnover is obtained in Belgium.
The third place is another Dutch company Bol.com (controlled by Ahold Delhaize). It is estimated that Ahold's 2016 e-commerce revenue in Belgium was 220 million euros.
