Amazon Switzerland Station is Expected to Become the Sixth European Country Site
Currently, Amazon has five sites in Europe now, including the UK, Germany, France, Spain and Italy. Although consumers in other countries can also shop at these sites, it is a bit inconvenient. Now, Amazon Switzerland Station is expected to become the sixth European country site.
It is reported that the Swiss station is already under preparation and will be launched soon. There are rumors that will be launched in December or January next year. Swiss Post will be selected as platform logistics partner. Fliex Stieglitz, head of customs clearance at Swiss Post, confirmed that the postal company is in talks with Amazon. He said: "There are still some operational details need to negotiate."
Obviously, Switzerland is a country rich in economy, but its population is not large. And it is not within the EU system, logistics may have some challenges.
This may be a sign that Amazon is upgrading its business and expanding its geographic footprint. Amazon Australia this week also finally launched, there are rumors that there are other sites to be open.
